 Becoming Batman is a 2008 book released about the training regime needed to morph your body into that of the hero Batman.  Of course, it is interesting to go over exactly how Batman's body works, and the amount of training he would need to morph oneself into the seemingly superhuman strength of the superhero known for just being a regular human. However, when looking at this book, a strange connection popped into my mind. Something from a distant comic book, far in the past.  These Charles Atlas ads were frequent in the 1940's within the pages of comic books. It promised any skinny or out-of-shape comic reader a path to becoming immensely buff, able to fight of any bullies or adversaries and attract beautiful women. The ads were quite bombastic, so they stuck in my mind.  Do these two pieces of comic paraphernalia not seem similar? Plants and Computers are literally the same and I refuse to entertain any other notions

 The debate about plant intelligence is quite interesting. However, from having just a cursory look of a little bit of reading and one class session about the topic, and a much larger background in computing and artificial intelligence, the resemblance between plant intelligence and AI was quite striking. Plants were described as not being human in intelligence, but still being able to make decisions, and learn. Well, a computer could do that as well! Just as a plant may track towards the sun or learn to not be afraid when it was dropped, a machine learning model can learn to give better outputs, or even in an applied robotics sense move its' limbs in such a way until it figures out how to walk. Just like how plants evolve over time, machines do as well, with both either producing new offspring with slightly more optimal genetics or running through algorithms to slightly fine tune results. Really, Truly Hear Me Out Before You Close Out Of This Blog: Thomas Edison is the Natural Enemy of The Green Lantern

 The world really hates on Thomas Edison nowadays. It used to be he was widely considered to be a shining example of a great inventor, who had a duet of very flattering movies made about him in the 1940's (one with Mickey Rooney as the titular Young Thomas Edison), but it seems like with the internet age that he has been subdued and is instead seen as a villain, somebody who while a decent inventor did not do things in a morally straight way and who abused the natural brilliance of minds like Nikola Tesla. This contrast with Tesla is quite fascinating. Tesla is seen as a natural genius, a man who shut himself away to work on his brilliant inventions, too divorced from the realities of economics to prevent being screwed over by Edison, who while also quite brilliant is known for a serious of quotes about hard work being superior compared to natural genius.
